COLDSHIELD Thermal Shield Gel is a patented heat sink / heat shield material that is environmentally safe, non-toxic, non-corrosive and non-flammable. It is designed to stop heat from travelling through most metals. It will help prevent distortion to metals & plastics caused by the heat. The one property which makes COLDSHIELD Thermal Shield Gel truly amazing, is its ability to provide a heat barrier from direct open flame contact. It will keep the materials it is applied too completely cool even under direct contact to Map Gas and even welding torches. The barrier is so efficient, COLDSHIELD can be applied to thin plastic (ie. soda bottle) and a direct flame from a Map Gas torch (3000o F) will not even distort the plastic.
